Paid Surveys – Appropriate For Teens?

Teenagers seem to be wasting a lot of their time today. Playing video games, chatting, etc – all of these activities are done in front of a computer and don’t normally produce anything good. However, there is a way for teens to earn money while they’re at the computer. This way is through online paid surveys. It’s a perfect opportunity for children to earn their allowances, and thus help out the family. There are some concerns about this with the parents, and this is natural – but this article will hopefully clear up the matter.

Is it safe?

Absolutely! Answering surveys is a great, safe way for your teenage children to earn money. The websites are secure, they have strict policies regarding the safety of private information, especially when it concerns a teenager. The usual restriction in regards to age is that anyone over 13 years of age may participate. For the paid websites, the teenager will need his parents’ credit card and permission, of course, but that’s understandable. To be safe though, only register at websites ran by established solid companies with a good history and reputation.

The right topics for the teens

Surveys for teenagers normally concern matters different from those for adults. For example, most teen surveys are about video games, movies, music, food products, etc – things that a teen is more likely to be interested in. As with standard paid surveys, the exact subjects of the surveys will be determined by the profile information, so make sure it’s comprehensive and covers every topic of interest for the teen. Don’t miss out anything, and of course don’t lie by specifying interests which are far from the truth – this will only backfire in the long run.

Keep an eye on your child

Surveys are great and they can help the kid make a lot of money, but you should always be careful with them. Kids are easily addicted to anything, and surveys are addictive by nature – earning a few bucks by answering some simple questions can suck them in and glue them in front of the computer. You should make sure your child never spends too much time answering surveys, or this will have a harmful effect. The best thing to do is set some hours in the evening for taking surveys and make sure the child doesn’t go over those when doing them. Stand with him/her, help him/her out, get involved!
